History of the company

In 1938 the photo shop was founded in the Sendlinger Straße. After the war the company was rebuilt at Sendlinger-Tor-Platz/Lindwurmstraße.

It was only in the 1970s that the company moved to its current location at Sonnenstraße 26 and expanded the premises in several stages.

With the approximately 15,000 articles on offer - from cameras to microscopes - and more than 100 competent employees, Foto-Video Sauter has risen to become the largest specialist photo store in Germany.

In addition to the extensive and excellently equipped departments for analog/digital photography and video, there are also astronomy, microscopy, binoculars, printers, photographic paper and digital picture frames. Not to forget two photo studios and a comprehensive picture service - from instant printing to professional processing for the customer.
